Please congratulate the AHS choir! For an outstanding performance at the Chicago Heritage Choral Competition. The choir students competed against 18 choirs from 12 different schools, from all over the country. The classes ranged from A to AAA.

Symphonic Choir, Class AA - Silver rating - 3^rd place.
Arrow Dynamics, Class AAA - Silver rating - 1^st place.
Sing N' Swing, Class AAA - Silver rating - 2^nd place.
A cappella, Class AAA - Gold rating - 1^st place.

In addition, our music department was awarded the Spirit of Chicago Award which is awarded to the school who has students who exhibit exemplary character.

Two students were awarded the Maestro Award--Kaitlynn Jackenheimer and Bethany Corbett.

Finally, A cappella was invited to perform in an elite festival made up of only class AAA, 1^st place winners with Gold ratings.
