Class/Club Award Received 2009 - 2010
Choir
        Friday, March 5, 2010; the members of the AHS performed at the District 10 Large Group Contest, Contest is adjudicated by four judges. Ratings are given on a scale of 1 to 5, 1 being superior, 2 is excellent, 3 is good and so is forth. The Concert Choir went for comments only and received great comments on their development as a young choir. The Symphonic Choir performed in class C and received a 2 for their performance with positive comments on their style, control and dynamic abilities. The A cappella Choir performed in class AA, the highest classification possible, receiving a 1 with positive comments about their control, style , blend and maturity of performance. A cappella has been invited to State Context at Jackson High School on April 30th or May 1st. This is the highest honor for an choir in the state of Ohio.
Academic Team
        Saturday, March 6, 2010; the Academic Team consisting of Trey Caram, Dan Barr, Christina Rueger, Michael Rueger, Sean Brean and Jacob Boyer WON a 16-team National Academic Quiz Tournament. They defeated Lexington in a playoff to win the tournament and now are qualified for the Ohio Academic Challenge tournament and the NAQT tournament held in Chicago.
Panorama
        Saturday, April 17, 2010; Panorama was awarded a First Place at the State of Ohio Journalism awards at Kent State. There were a total of 28 individual students writing, photography, and the layout awards between Panorama and Guide.

    National Junior Classical League Latin Honor Society
         Each year at AHS inducts members into the Latin Honor Society. The requirements are a 3.5 overall GPA, a 4.0 in Latin and be an active member of the Junior Classical League. This year we welcome:
