With superintendent Mark Robinson retiring at the end of the year, the Ashland City School District is left with the tough task of finding an appropriate replacement who lives up to the expectations of not only the Board of Education, but also teachers, administrators, support staff, and the general public.
In order to achieve this end, the School Board has teamed up with Dr. Dwight McElfresh, who is a former superintendent of the district himself, and has held four meetings for each of the forementioned groups who have stake in the decisions.
They are looking for the "input of what characteristics they would like to see in a superintendent," said Board Vice-President Bob Hill.
With the current situation in the district, from money problems to new buildings, the decision on the new superindendent becomes all the more important.
